Databases

African-American Experience in Ohio: Collection from the Ohio Historical Society illuminates specific moments in the history of Ohio's African-Americans and provides an overview of their experiences during the time period 1850 to 1920 in the words of the people that lived them.

Biography Reference Bank: Collection of biographical material from a variety of sources including, biographical profiles, feature articles, interviews, essays, book reviews, performance reviews, speeches, and obituaries. It covers over 500,000 people and includes over 36,000 images.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia: Indexes over 25,000 records, covering an array of topics. Full text for each record may be easily accessed by double clicking on the topic from the display. The database contains various images, offers brief biographies as well as information in a variety of subject areas.
