Employee Benefits
The Clermont County Public Library offers a wide range of benefits to staff members based on position classification, the number of hours worked per week, and length of service. Following is a brief outline:
Accrued Benefits
Full time staff accrue vacation and sick leave on a per-pay basis. Vacation leave is accrued according to length of service. Sick leave is accrued at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay; a rate totaling 16 days per year.
Part time staff working 20 hours a week or more accrue vacation at a rate of 2.31 hours per pay. Pages start accruing vacation after three years of service.
Group Insurance
Full time staff have the opportunity to receive health and dental insurance benefits. Life insurance and long-term disability coverage is provided by the Library.
Effective July 1, 2008, part time (non-temporary) staff working 20 hours or more a week have the opportunity to receive health and dental insurance benefits on a prorated basis.
Holidays
Full time staff receive 8 hours pay for 11 holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Part time (non-temporary) staff receive 4 hours pay for the 11 holidays.
Retirement Program
Every staff member (full time, part time, and Page) is a member of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS). Individuals contribute to this retirement program as well as the Library.
Voluntary participation is also available for the Ohio Deferred Compensation Program.
