Service Specialist I - Youth Services
Part time - 24 hours a week - Opening at New Richmond branch
- Responsibilities
- Shares responsibility for providing direct library service to people of all ages, especially children from birth through late teens. Assists in the planning, preparation, and presentation of story times, summer reading activities and special programs for youth. Answers library user's reference questions in person and over telephone using materials in a variety of formats (i.e., books, periodicals, newspapers). This includes utilizing the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) and Internet.
- Qualifications
- A broad range of knowledge of a wide variety of subjects usually acquired through a four year college program or associate degree and appropriate library experience. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
