If you'd like to use a CCPL meeting room, please read our Meeting Room Policy and Meeting Room Rules. Fill out our Meeting Room Use Application (PDF).

Fines and Fees

Daily fines are charged for each item that is not returned or renewed by its due date. Check due dates and renew items on your card promptly to avoid overdue fines. If fines and other fees on your card exceed $10.00, borrowing privileges (including the ability to renew items on loan and to place holds) will be suspended until the fines are paid.

If you have signed for a minor to receive a library card, you are financially responsible for your child’s library fines (your account will be linked with theirs in our circulation system). If one or more library accounts associated with your account accumulates over $10.00 in fines, borrowing privileges will be suspended for all library cards associated with your account until the fines are paid to under $10.

The Library charges fines for materials kept past their due date:

  • 20¢ per day overdue: Print items
  • 20¢ per day overdue: Audio books
  • $1 per day overdue: DVDs, Blu-rays, music CDs
  • Lost items: The charge includes the full price of the item and a processing fee.
  • Damaged items: If the material is damaged beyond repair or is missing a part, the charge includes the full price of the item and a processing fee. If the item is still useable, no charge except for any overdue fines.
  • Lost library cards: $1 after the 1st lost card
  • $2-5 charge for missing AV cases or inserts
  • Accounts with overdues or fines that exceed $25.00 will be sent to a materials collection service after 35 days. A $10 processing fee will also be added to the account.

Fines may be paid with cash, check or credit/debit card at any branch.

The Library reserves the right to refuse further service until overdue materials are returned and account balances are paid.
