AltHealthWatch: Focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. It offers libraries full text articles for more than 180 international, and often peer-reviewed journals and reports. In addition, there are hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts. Alt HealthWatch provides in-depth coverage across the full spectrum of subject areas covered by complementary and alternative medicine. This database features indexing and abstracts going back as far as 1984, and full text going back as far as 1990.
Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition: Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides nearly 600 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines, and also features abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. Updated daily.
Medline PubMed: PubMed is the National Library of Medicine's database of references to more than 16 million articles published in 5000 biomedical journals. You will find information about articles on your topic (the author, title of the article, name of the journal, date published, page numbers). Many of the listings also have short summaries of the article (abstracts). Sometimes you will find a link to the full article. NetWellness - Consumer Health Information: A non-profit consumer health Web site that provides high-quality information created and evaluated by medical and health professional faculty at the University of Cincinnati, Case Western Reserve University, and The Ohio State University. Includes health news, extensive health reference works, health topics, and Ask an Expert.
Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection: The Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection is a comprehensive database providing more than 550 full text publications, including more than 500 peer-reviewed journals. The database covers topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods. In addition to the full text, indexing and abstracts are provided for all journals in the collection.
