Behavior Guidelines

  • Eating, drinking, and use of tobacco are not permitted inside the library.
  • Any activity or behavior that hinders the use of the library, is disruptive, or jeopardizes the safety of patrons or employees, inside or outside, is prohibited.
  • Disruptive behavior may include, but not be limited to:
    • Running
    • Physical assault of patrons or staff.
    • Talking above acceptable noise level.
    • Carrying or possessing a weapon. View the Concealed Carry Law Policy
    • Abuse or destruction of library furniture or property.
    • Use of abusive or profane language directed at patrons or staff.
  • Appropriate clothing must be worn in the library at all time (shirts, footwear, etc.)
  • Pets are not permitted inside the library, except animals used by the seeing and hearing impaired.
  • Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children in the library. View the Unattended Children Policy
