Join the Clermont County Public Library for a cup of coffee at a Bilingual Coffee Hour. Just bring a passion for great conversation in both English and Spanish, delicious coffee will be provided!
Latinos will learn about the Library’s services and programs during Coffee Hour. Introducing the Library to the Spanish-speaking community goes beyond books. The Library will help patrons with questions regarding marriage licenses, school districts for their children, and more. Tami Farmer, CCPL Adult Services Lead, says, “The Library wants to make their transition into a new culture as easy as possible.” Providing Spanish-speaking patrons with information needed to become successful in Clermont County is the Library’s focus.
Everyone is invited to attend. Tami Farmer says, “This is a Bilingual Coffee Hour but that doesn’t mean that you must be Latino. The Library wants local residents that speak Spanish to drop by and join us. We are encouraging area high school Spanish students to also attend the discussions.”
Coffee Hours will be held at 7 pm the first Thursday each month at the Union Township Branch, 4462 Mt. Carmel-Tobasco Road. The first Bi-Lingual Coffee Hour is September 2.
Bi-Lingual Coffee Hour is part of the Clermont County Public Library’s Service in Any Language project. It is funded in part through an Institute of Museum and Library Services and Technology Act grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
