Getting the hottest titles at the Clermont County Public Library is a snap…and now it’s just a “click” away. The Popular Authors Club allows you to learn about a new release from your favorite author and place a hold on that title effortlessly. Information about this club is now online and more convenient than ever.

Members of the Popular Authors Club (PAC) automatically have holds placed on new fiction hardcover or audio releases from their favorite authors. It’s simple to join. Visit www.clermont.lib.oh.us/pac.html to view a complete list of authors. Easily browse the list alphabetically or by genre, it’s your choice. Fill out a registration form at any branch library. Select those authors whose new titles you want, choose the format (standard print, large print, cassette, CD), and the branch where you want to pick up your titles.

The library will create your profile and add your name to the waiting list when new books arrive. When a title is ready to check out, we’ll let you know. Your membership is effective for new titles released 2-3 months after you’ve joined the Popular Authors Club. To make changes to your PAC profile, ask for an add/delete form and we’ll update your preferences.

Interest in the club is expected to increase by adding the online feature. Holly Varley, CCPL Collection Development Manager, says, “The Popular Authors Club is a very popular service. Membership has increased 32% to 840 members since last fall. The Internet will make it more visible and accessible to our community.”
