- Success by 6 is a national United Way strategy focused on improving school readiness through local community change. - Ohio Ready to Read is a joint initiative of the Ohio Library Council and State Library of Ohio to reach at-risk families on the importance of early learning. Their mission is to disseminate early literacy information to librarians, library staff, child care providers, early childhood educators, children's advocates and political decision makers on the six early literacy skills necessary to prepare children, birth to age 5, to learn to read.
