A Creative Experience @ Your Library
Summer Reading 2009
June 6 - August 1
This summer CCPL offers four unique reading experiences to kids ages 0- 18 as well as a program specifically created for childcares. All of the programs give opportunities to enhance pre-literacy and literacy skills, engage in creative expression, have fun, and win prizes. Be sure to check out our "Show Me the Prizes!" video
"Summer Reading is a chance for kids to see that reading doesn't always have to be about quizzes and comprehension. It can be fun and enjoyable which in turn strengthens their skills for when reading is about quizzes and comprehension. We give kids a chance to read what they want to read, not what they have to read". Tracey McCullough, Supervisor of the Office of Public Affairs and Programs
