Summer Reading 2009
Ages 3 - 8
Preparing and assisting children to become readers is important. According to the Heyns Study, the number of books a child reads over the summer is related to acadmic gains. Let the library add creativity, fun, and prizes to that mix.
Activities
- Download a game board (pdf) or stop into a branch to register on or after June 6th.
- Use our booklist (pdf) for inspiration.
- Complete an activity sheet: Hidden Instruments(pdf), Instruments(pdf), Star Light(pdf).
- When you reach the "Prize 1" space, stop into a branch to claim your prize.
