Always fun to read a humorous book to children, especially if there’s a chance to read using funny voices!
Some fun and funny suggestions when you want story time to come with a giggle:
The award winning Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Willems. When the bus driver decides to take a break from driving, a wild and wacky pigeon pleads and begs to take his place, capturing the antics of a preschooler’s temper tantrum. This one is even better with dramatic sighs and even collapsing on the floor in a heap if you really get into the pigeon tantrum!
Skippyjon Jones by Judy Schachner. Skippyjon Jones, a Siamese cat with an uncanny imagination who likes to pretend he’s actually a Chihuahua complete with an accent, battles el Blimpo Bumblebeeto Bandito–a giant bee–on behalf of the Mexican Chihuahuas it has been terrorizing. Fantastic time to bust out your best (worst) Mexican accent.
