Summer is nearly gone now that the kids are back in school and the Labor Day holiday is over. Autumn with its changing leaves, apples, and crisper days is right around the corner.


Autumn Leaves by Ken Robbins. Examines the characteristics of different types of leaves and explains how and why they change colors in the autumn.

Welcome Fall by Jill Ackerman. A board book in which a boy celebrates all of the signs of fall, from leaves changing color to apples in the trees.

Fall Leaves by Liesbet Slegers. A board book in which child describes the fun things about fall, including nut-gathering squirrels, falling leaves, and splashing in puddles.

Fall Mixed Up by Bob Raczka. The delights of fall are described in mixed up verse and illustrations. You, the reader, are challenged to uncover the mistakes.
