United Way of Greater Cincinnati – Success by Six: This site contains information to help parents get their children ready for kindergarten. There are links to individual counties for services and contact information. There are also PowerPoint presentations designed for parents of preschool children.
Center for Early Literacy Learning: This site has resources for early childhood intervention practitioners, parents, and other caregivers of children, birth to five years of age, with identified disabilities, developmental delays, and those at-risk for poor outcomes.
Zero to Three: This site provides a wealth of information for parents and educators about child growth and development, education and care and national policies. There are online tools to help with school readiness from birth to age three. They also have a Military Families Project to help with growth and development during times of separation and stress.
Ohio Dept. of Health: This site provides parent and caregiver information about healthy growth and development from birth to age five. There are fact sheets and also information for school readiness.
Reading Is Fundamental: This website offers a wealth of support and information about reading and children as well as, down-to-earth suggestions on reading in the home, and no-nonsense strategies to improve children’s reading. There are also activities, and booklists categorized by age from birth to teens and articles, brochures and multicultural literacy resources.
