Have a Crafty Crafty Christmas!

craftsCan you believe it is that time of year again? Time to put up your tree and hang up those lights! It is also time to start thinking about what to give people for Christmas.

That also means that you will probably lay down a chunk of cash for gifts that hardly have any sentiment whatsoever. Instead, why not create something truly unique using your own two hands and your creative side?

I really adore this gift idea for chalkboard drink coasters. It is a fun twist on a living room must have that even kids can enjoy! You can also make your own Christmas tree ornaments using flat ribbon and beads. They can be made using any color materials and they look super sweet on your tree.

If you still need some help igniting your crafty side, you can attend Union Township’s Crafter Dark program and make a DIY snow globe! What a beautiful gift idea! The program starts at 6:00 pm on November 25 and attendees ages 12-adult will learn how to make an easy DIY Snow Globe using simple, around-the-home materials, and send you home with instructions and other great holiday craft ideas. For more information or to register, call the library at 528-1744 or register online here.

Whatever you decide to do, here are some books on the subject of crafting that can help you save money and touch someone’s heart.

Happy Holidays!

About Amanda

My name is Amanda and I have been with Clermont County Public Library for a little over a year now. I am the system Library Assistant Floater, which means I work at all 10 CCPL branches whenever they have a need. I enjoy listening to young adult fiction books on CD while I drive and I have a special place in my heart for sci-fi, fantasy, and dystopian novels. I play Skyrim and I take care of my two dogs, Sunny and Ollie, during my free time. Writing is a passion of mine and I enjoy sharing what I read with others.
