What is freedom? According to Webster’s it’s:

The quality or state of being free as -
A. The absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action

B. liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another : independence

C. The quality or state of being exempt or released usually from something onerous

Design a Costume

Teens, celebrate the Bethel Art and Music Festival at the Bethel Branch by showing off your design skills. Stop by the library after school during April and May to create a multicultural costume. Your creation will be showcased during the branch’s Open House on May 7.

Your costume creation will be on display at the branch during the summer reading program, One World, Many Stories June 4 – August 6.

Win a Kobo eReader!

Show off your writing skills by participating in our short story contest. We give you the first line -”I woke up in the year 3011…” and you give us a story.

Stories must be 1,000 words or less.

Stories may be submitted in a branch or here in the comments by April 30.

First prize writer will win a Kobo eReader and first place blue ribbon. Two runners up will receive bags of CCPL goodies with a journal.

Your stories become the property of the Clermont County Public Library and will not be returned after the judging.
