Join us at the Batavia Branch Library for a beginners colored pencil class! Award-winning, local artist, John Middick will demonstrate how to draw with colored pencils. You’ll learn the core principles and secrets to creating a drawing that looks like a painting. Lightfast, artist grade colored pencils are not a child’s crayon, they are fine art tools used to create amazing masterpieces to be enjoyed for generations.

Teens and adults should sign up online to save a spot in class. All supplies are provided by the library.

For more information, call the library at 732-2128.

Mr. Middick is the co-host of a weekly podcast dedicated to the art of colored pencils. Visit his website, Sharpened Artist.

KickStart Your Art is supported in part by the Ohio Arts Council, which receives support from the State of Ohio and the National Endowment for the Arts.
