Library asks patrons to help kids in foster care this holiday
Help the Library help children in foster care this holiday season.
The Clermont County Public Library is partnering with Warm Welcomes Foster Care Outreach to provide comfort items to children who often are taken from their homes and families with few or no personal items. If they do have anything, those items are usually stuffed into garbage bags.
Warm Welcomes collects comfort items and places them in a Welcome Bag, a brand new book bag or tote, and delivers them to Clermont County Protective Services and surrounding counties to give children something of their own when they are separated from their families.
Items include blankets, stuffed animals, books or toothbrushes. Ask a librarian for a complete list of items needed or choose an ornament from the holiday tree on display in the library. The library will collect items Nov. 12 to Dec. 29.
