Home Improvement Reference Center has do-it-yourself instructions on a wide variety of topics. Use the search box to find information on specific topics, or browse categories such as electrical, maintenance, plumbing, decorating, and many more.
- Visit the library’s website
- On the top menu bar, go to eLibrary
- All databases/eResources
- Click Home Improvement Reference Center
To search for faucet repair instructions
- Choose plumbing
- Repairing faucets
Detailed color pictures accompany the step-by-step directions. When you repair your faucet, the difference between parts such as a retaining nut and an o-ring are illustrated.

To find magazine articles:
- Choose Publications (located at the top of the page on the left)
- Type a title in the search box to browse publications
- Browse the alphabetical list of titles
