Are you an artist? Do you love Librari*Con? Enter our poster art contest for the chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card!

1.       Art must be the original work of the person entering the contest.

2.       Be clever, not crass! If you think your submission might be too risqué or offensive, it probably is.

3.       All submissions must be appropriate for all ages (i.e. no graphic violence, nudity, swearing or other objectionable elements.)

4.       If you have a question about your content, please feel free to ask library staff if it is approved.

5.       Poster art should allow those viewing it to get an understanding of some of the activities typically provided at Librari*Con. In the past, we’ve included a cosplay contest, gaming, and crafts.

6.       Please incorporate this year’s theme, musicals/theater (including Hamilton), into your design, if possible.

7.       Do not include any copyrighted imagery, including superhero logos, in the poster.

8.       Please sign your artwork.

9.       Images must be submitted digitally through Submittable.

Eligibility requirements:

Open to all ages, but submissions by teens (ages 12-17) will be considered first. Entries from professional and amateur artists will be accepted, but no compensation will be given beyond the gift card prize.

Image requirements:

·         Images must be at least 300dpi

·         8.5 x 11

·         CMYK or RGB color modes are acceptable: you may submit .JPG, .TIFF, .PNG or .PDF documents.

Final selection and editing:

Selection of a winner is dependent upon the library receiving sufficient entries of high quality. The determination of what meets quality standards is solely up to the discretion of library staff. If the library does not receive a sufficient number of quality submissions, no winner will be selected.

A final poster will be edited by library staff in order to include information about the event, the library logo and event logo, etc.
