You might know that Ohio, also referred to as the Buckeye State, is well known for being the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team and to the first man who walked on the moon, Neil Armstrong, and serving residents and tourists the famous Cincinnati Style chili. But you might not know that one of your favorite books was written by an author from Ohio! Here are five books written by Ohio authors that are great reads to cozy up with this fall season.

Anthony Doerr was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mindy McGinnis is an assistant Young Adult librarian and still lives in Ohio.

Celeste Ng grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. The Tuck family is confronted with an agonizing situation.  They discover that a ten-year-old girl and a malicious stranger now know their secret about a spring whose water prevents one from ever growing any older. Natalie Babbitt was born in Dayton, Ohio.
