The Clermont County Public Library is seeking teen and adult submissions for the annual Short Story Contest. Entries will be accepted between November 1, 2018 and November 30, 2018.

Submit your story, which must be between 1,500 and 2,000 words, by midnight November 30, 2018. Submissions should be typed, single sided, double spaced, and in a legible font. Your submission must be a PDF, Word doc, Word docx, or a .txt file.

The contest is open to teens age 11 to 17 and adults age 18 and up.

Short Story Judging

All entries are final. Stories should be for a general audience and should not contain any explicit sex or violence. One entry per person, please.

The manuscripts will be read and judged in a blind format where the judges do not know the names of the authors of the stories they are reading.

Winners

Winners will be announced February 18, 2019. Winning stories will be published online on the Library’s blog.

First, second, and third place winners will receive $150, $100 and $50 gift cards.
