I am always on the outlook for new authors and often the result is pleasurable.  These are some of the debut novels already out or coming soon.

Hold Still by Lynn Steger Strong -A tale told in two separate timelines divided by an irreversible tragedy traces the fractured relationship between a workaholic English professor and her downward-spiraling daughter.

The Girls by Emma Cline  – the story of a group of girls surrounding a Manson cult type character

Sweetbitter by Stephanie Danler – a coming of age story of a Manhattan waitress.

The Nest  by Cynthia d’Aprix Sweeney – adult siblings squabble over their joint trust fund after their reckless brother Leo threatens to drain it.

Behold the Dreamers by Imbolo Mbue – the story of an immigrant couple working for a Lehman Brothers exec in 2008. (coming out in August)
