Summer Reading Challenge

June 1 through August 1

For all ages

Spend time reading this summer. Encourage your kids to do the same. It’s a great way for them to maintain their reading skills, and it will make it easier for them when they return to school this fall. For adults, reading can be a short break from the many activities planned for the warmer months.

How Does Summer Reading Work?

  1. Sign up online, in the Beanstack app, or at your local branch.

  2. Pick up your free book!

  3. Read and record the number of minutes spent reading in Beanstack.

  4. Once you read and log 600 minutes, you earn a completion prize.

What Counts for Summer Reading?

You can read whatever you'd like!

  • Physical books

  • Ebooks

  • Audiobooks (yes, listening to books counts!)

  • Graphic novels & manga

  • Magazines & comic books

Read aloud with your family? Log those minutes for all of you!

  • Amazon Gift Card $50

  • Bundle for little ones
