Thanks to everyone who contributed to our Holiday Giving Program – United Way’s Backpacks for Success. You helped provide much-needed mid-year school supplies for local families.

Tech Smart from the Start

Have you attended any of the free online “Tech Smart from the Start” Zoom sessions with Dr. Jenny Radesky? Dr. Radesky is a renowned developmental behavior pediatrician who has been sharing tips to help you manage preschool children’s screen time in a healthy way. Although geared toward children from birth to 5 years old, Dr. Radesky’s tools are helpful for children of any age. The final session, “The ‘Feel-Good’ Loop” is January 6 at 6:30, but if you’ve missed the other three, they are available on our YouTube channel. All four topics are:

·        Taming Screen Time

·        The “Feel-Good” Loop

Dr. Radesky’s approach to these topics is “no blame, no shame.” She knows how difficult and complicated managing screen time is for families today. If you’re at your wits’ end, wondering how to cope, these 20-minute videos are a great resource. Especially during these indoor days.

We hope to see you at a local library branch soon.
