August is National Get Ready for Kindergarten Month, a time for littles and their parents to prepare for the big transition into school. Whether your child is heading to kindergarten this year or you just brought the little bundle of joy home from the hospital, it's never a bad time to check out this handy Get Ready for Kindergarten Guide full of free resources at the Clermont County Public Library that we've put together to help.

  • Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

    Country music superstar Dolly Parton launched her Imagination Library in 1995. It is a program that distributes free books to children from birth to age 5 in participating communities (like Clermont County)! Every month, a carefully selected new book will be mailed directly to your child. This is a FREE GIFT to your child through our partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Clermont County, Ohio. There is no cost or obligation to your family.

  • ABCmouse

  • School Readiness Kits

    School Readiness Kits are designed to help children develop skills to prepare them to attend kindergarten. Kits are available in 14 different topics. Each kit contains: five books, an educational toy, and a laminated insert that describes the skill used in the kit and suggests several ways to use the toy.

  • Sprout Backpacks

    Sprout Backpacks are created around a single subject and assist in school readiness for children ages 1-3 or 3-8. The Sprout Backpacks cover themes such as colors, numbers, emotions, and sharing.
