LibrariCon 2025 has come to an end.

Thanks to all who came out, this year's LibrariCon was the most well-attended since pausing the in-person event in 2020. Nearly 200 guests celebrated all things fandom at our version of Comic-Con!

Special LibrariCon Guests

Bud and Aryn Stross of The Dent Schoolhouse brought fascinating stories and their costuming expertise, along with pieces from their personal collection. They showed us a silicon pumpkin monster mask (it felt just like skin 👀), and a headdress that was part of Aryn's winning makeup at the Jantana Bodypaint competition at the Arnold Classic in 2019!

Man showing a pumpkin head to a girl with bunny ears. Seated audience in a room with decorated tables. Warm, interactive mood.

Other LibrariCon Events

Kids had fun creating magical wands with Miss Kim, while adults enjoyed "Just Bead It" and made 8-bit pixel art with perler beads. New this year was the chance to battle it out virtual-style on the Nintendo Switch. Trivia, a fan-favorite activity from last year, returned in the stacks.

Those up for a challenge entered the Stranger Things Escape Room, narrowly escaping the clutches of Vecna. Others took the night more casually, creating buttons, decorating journals, completing the MarioKart scavenger hunt, and grabbing photo ops with their favorite pop culture character cutouts.

Cosplay Contest

And of course, what Con would be complete without cosplay? 45 total participants entered the contest. All the costumes were amazing but only 9 could come out on top. K-Pop Demon Hunters was clearly a favorite among cosplayers this year, but we enjoyed seeing all the creative cosplay! Congratulations to our winners, who all won an Amazon gift card!
